All Pupils

Professional Day – Monday 24 February 2025

We would like to remind you that Monday, 24 February 2025, is a professional day and the college will be closed to all pupils. This is the day after the half term break.

Aprons for Food lessons

We are seeing an increasing number of pupils who do not have an apron for their Food Technology lessons.  Please remember that pupils need to bring their own apron as part of their equipment, along with their ingredients, when they have a practical food lesson. This is a Food Hygiene requirement, as pupils require a clean apron to hygienically prepare their dishes. This means that it is not possible for the department to clean and dry the quantity of aprons needed for all the pupils each day.

Vacancy for a Co-opted Governor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a Co-opted Governor to support the work of the Swanmore College Board of Governors and the Senior Leadership Team as we strive to deliver excellent results and experiences for our pupils. Please see the website for full details and information on how to apply: Swanmore School - Co-opted Governor

Further details about the role of the Governors can also be found here: Swanmore School - Governors

Neurodiversity Ambassadors

Pupils are invited to join our Neurodiversity Ambassadors group (NDA) on a Tuesday lunchtime in R02.

This is a group that will allow its members to connect with fellow peers (neurodiverse or not) and supportive allies. It aims to help its members to develop and hone new skills in a supportive and friendly environment, and to build confidence and pride in students’ neurodiverse identities. It would be lovely to see a group of like-minded pupils come together and join in with the fun and activities.
