Year 8

Trip to New York

I am delighted to inform you about a very exciting trip being organised for April 2027! This trip will be a 4-night, 5-day trip to New York, USA, with a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths academic focus as well as sightseeing the sights of NYC and experiencing Broadway! There are 40 places available for Year 8 and 9 pupils only. Applications and deposits open in September 2025 with a £300 deposit due on Friday 12 September 2025. A trip letter has been sent via parentmail with full details of the trip including what is included in the £1870 cost. A further parentmail will be sent in September with details on how to apply for this trip. Contact Mr Thornton and Mr Guillen on nyc-2027@swanmore-sec.hants.sch.uk should you have any questions.

Hampshire County Youth Choirs

Hampshire County Youth Choirs are opening their doors to invite potential members to their open rehearsal to go and sing alongside their current singers. With choirs for everyone from Y2 to Upper Sixth, this is the opportunity for children and young people who love to sing to go and find out more about what we do, with the view to joining them in the Autumn term. The evening will end with a show for parents/carers and a chance to meet the Directors.
