Year 10 Religious Studies trip to Winchester Cathedral

Our Year 10 GCSE Religious Studies pupils had a fantastic day at Winchester Cathedral today, exploring its rich history and significance!

The trip began with an expert-guided tour, where pupils admired the stunning architecture and learned about the cathedral’s role in British Christianity. They were particularly fascinated by the mediaeval stained-glass and ancient artefacts.

A key highlight was the Eucharist demonstration, bringing to life this important Christian sacrament. Seeing the ritual in action helped deepen their understanding of its meaning.

Pupils also had a brilliant opportunity to question a canon, engaging in an insightful discussion about faith and the Church of England's role in modern society. Their thoughtful questions were truly impressive!

Throughout the day, our pupils represented Swanmore College beautifully, showing enthusiasm, respect, and curiosity. Well done, Year 10!
