Swanmore Sports weekly roundup

Another week of sporting action has seen our pupils competing across a range of sports, from netball and football to badminton.

Here's a round-up of the latest results and achievements:

Netball vs. Perins School

This is the result from our U12 and U13 Netball fixture against Perins School on 27 January. Our U12 team demonstrated excellent teamwork, securing a well-deserved win. The U13s, while ultimately losing their game, made their opponents work hard for the victory. Well done to all the girls who played.

Year 7 Boys Football

Our Year 7 Boys Football team braved the elements on Tuesday, travelling to Mountbatten School in cold and rainy conditions. Having qualified for the top pool in the district before Christmas, the boys played two league matches. They faced Toynbee, losing the first game 3-2 (with both goals scored by Ollie), but bounced back to win the second match 1-0 (with a goal from Will). Well played to all the boys involved. We look forward to their continued progress this season.

Key Stage 4 Badminton Success

Swanmore College hosted a Key Stage 4 District Schools Badminton event on Wednesday, welcoming Deer Park School. Our teams, comprising two boys' teams and one girls' team, competed in a variety of singles and doubles matches. While our girls' team gained valuable experience but were unfortunately defeated, our boys' A team triumphed and progressed to the County Finals! These finals will take place on 27th February, and we wish the team the very best of luck.
