During this model, pupils will learn about different engineering materials,their properties and how they can be worked with, in order to make engineered products.

Changing the form of the material using tools and equipment. This process does not remove material.

Material Removal

A process where material is physically removed during manufacturing.

Bringing different parts of a project together

A way of preserving or enhancing the surface of the material

Alloy

A material that is made of two or more metals, to get the desired properties.

Milling

A material removal process that is used to cut metal using a rotating cutting tool.
